Interim Management

An immediate strategic resource!

Whatever your corporate standpoint, there can be no getting away from the fact that interim management is playing an increasingly vital and strategic role in the senior management and direction of companies, from large corporations to SME's.  The combination of re-organisations, acquisitions, downsizing and a lack of solid relevant experience in younger staff that occurred in the late 80’s and 90’s, means that a wealth of highly experienced seasoned managerial and specialist talent is now making its presence felt in the international interim management marketplace.

The experience is not confined to any particular sector. Transferable skills apart, dedicated specialists can be found in all departments. These include general management, finance and accounting, sales and marketing, production and operations - in fact any senior functional post you care to mention.

Access to the marketplace is not enough. The interim management resource has to be tapped carefully and executives expertly evaluated. If our selection criteria are met, only then are they invited to join Global Executives’ international database pool.

Critical, accurate and objective selection is even more important today as the majority of interim management assignments do not carry the luxury of a lengthy search, selection and appointment process. An interim manager cannot afford to fail and must offer real value for money; far more than the full time permanent executive.

A contract between a client and Global Executives Limited is totally flexible. Frequently, client companies will ask to extend their involvement.  Positively, the Global Interim Manager offers flexibility coupled with an ability to import expert skills. They also bring an independent view of client activities. They offer a clear uncluttered perspective in dealing with the task in hand.

Interim managers are truly independent and self-employed, with a minimum of five years as head of function. They have developed a highly independent life style with no long term aspirations to stay with a client company, once the assignment has been successfully completed.

The interim manager is truly cost effective. Total cost compares favourably with that of a line manager, where true costs are often underestimated.  Authoritative sources suggest that the rolled up figure is nearly twice the basic salary cost - a calculation most company managers tend to ignore and that is assuming the employee has a good health record.  Also, this computation does not take into account the further cost of redundancy, notice and employer pension costs in the event of forced termination.

Operating from offices both in the UK and France, Global Executives Limited can provide Interim Managers on a pan-European basis who are fluent in the required language, but also understand the business practices in the country in which they can operate.  Where a language skill is important, we will have ensured good or fluent competence for you.
