Press Release
Global Executives bought by long standing Dutch
Interim provider.
Dr Anne Elise van den
Berg, Managing Director of the Dutch interim
management and consultancy provider Mons
Nederland BV and its parent company Mons Interim
BV, announces the acquisition of Global
Executives Ltd with immediate effect. In a
strategic move to broaden the appeal of their
already well established European-wide offering,
Mons will be adding a substantial and well-run
quality database of UK, European and world wide
interim executives.
Speaking at her Dutch HQ
in Deventer, Dr van den Berg said: "We are
delighted to have made this move into the UK
market that will enable us to strengthen our
overall European appeal. Global Executives Ltd.
is a well-established and long respected brand,
which has been operated successfully for the
last eleven years by Nigel Corby, well known to
the UK market and one-time leading member of the
Interim Management Association.
"Our plan is to
integrate Global Executives into the
international activities of the Mons group as
consultant managers, interim managers and
management developers. Also, Global Executives
will play an important role in the
implementation of our plans for a centre of
excellence and strategic management expertise
which we will be launching this summer under the
name of Auxilior."
We plan that the Global
Executives will be headquartered in the West
Midlands from next September she concluded.
Nigel Corby, Managing
Director of Global Executives Ltd expressed his
real pleasure at the agreement for Mons to take
his work forward thus enabling him to retire in
due course. "I have known of Mons for many years
and in looking for a Company to acquire us, Mons
offers just the right profile. I have always
been impressed by the care and concern and
highly professional way that Mons manages its
many clients, and works in partnership with them.
I am delighted that the excellent results we
have achieved over the years can be continued in
a broader and even more client focused way. The
plans for growth are exciting and I will be
working hard in the coming months to ensure a
successful transition.
Mr Corby will be
retained as an associate directorof the new
operation for the next 12 months at least and
will remain available for help and advice as
necessary in the next three years.

Global Executives Ltd…
Founded in
September 1996, the company’s expertise
lies in rapid and accurate definition of
assignment needs and in matching the
best available independent executive(s)
to that requirement.
The primary
purpose is to supply, on a pan-European
basis, senior independent executives to
companies in need of short-term
managerial strength arising in the
following circumstances:
- Covering
for senior management gaps, whether
planned or not.
- Providing
additional management strength -
usually special projects where
senior management experience is
essential but internal resources are
lacking. For example:
- Take-over
defence
- Acquisition
- Plant and/or
office relocation
- Market
studies
- Business
Process Re-engineering.
- Company,
divisional and functional turnaround
Global

Excellent
Trading Results
Since its launch in January 1997, Global Executives
Ltd has established its position as an important UK and
European interim management supply company. We have seen
a very encouraging wave of interest from potential
clients and a highly creditable level of sales for a
newly established business in this market. Important
placements have been made in both the UK and France with
both American and UK companies with European interests.
UK business represents around two thirds of sales to
date. There has been much interest in the executive
strength available in the General Management, Production,
Sales/Marking and Finance functions. Interest has arisen
from industrial, commercial and utility companies as well
as the public sector.
Demand is increasing at this time as the word spreads
that the quality of our service is among the highest in
the industry. We are increasingly recognised as a
definitive source of supply for second language
executives. Enquiring companies and clients already
include many household names, a number of the Top 200
firms and two large Scandinavian groups.

Database
Growth
We are impressed by both the quantity and quality of
those registering their interest in assignments - over
1000 names are now available for consideration with more
than 30% offering a second language and 20% resident
overseas.
Executives are required to register using a bespoke
application which allows them to define for us the core
experience they offer, industries in which they are
broadly capable and those job roles for which they are
competent for interim assignments. This assures
consistent searching when matching to a specific
requirement. Those of you reading this who have so far
failed to return their disks should contact us
immediately.
It is in your interests to complete these disks,
because manual searches through CV's received are only
done where electronic searching does not yield sufficient
potential. So, it is very important that we
receive these back completed. If you have
difficulties we can resolve these over the 'phone.
IMA - Interim
Management Association
We are committed to the goals and aims ánd the
behavioral code of the Interim Management Association. We are keen to see
the IMA become more influential. Current work to convene an international meeting of
supplier companies is being undertaken with an Italian
interim management organisation. Registrants who are new
to the interim management market are urged to attend the
interim management workshop - a very reasonably priced
event.

Business
Development for
Global
Executives Ltd
The company is about to enter its third phase of
development and wishes to involve all our
registered interim executives - that means you! Enclosed
is our commission scheme and we do encourage
you to contact us with surplus leads, enquiries and other
contacts which you feel will result in sales and thus
mutual benefit. Your interest "link" to these
contacts will last for one year, so even if no immediate
benefit accrues you could still gain in the longer term.
The figures offered in the scheme are standard and we
would be prepared to agree different approaches in some
appropriate and exceptional circumstances.
We are also seeking
a managing director
to broaden and strengthen our sales in the UK and Europe.
Essentially, you will need a number of key
qualities - interpersonal skills to influence the
highest level of decision makers, a track record in
growing sales enquiries in a service industry,
recruitment company or perhaps financial services and an
enthusiasm for the benefits and importance of interim
management as a business solution.
These opportunities are for those willing to invest
time and effort before reward and will carry long term
involvement and additional rewards for success.
If you would like to know more about our current
thinking about these new important appointments, please either Nigel
Corby (UK) and/ or Anne Elise van den Berg (NL)

Other questions covered the things which most annoy
and please executives about dealing with such companies
as ours. This newsletter, in itself, addresses one
complaint! Otherwise, these don't easily lend themselves
to interpretation but were of value internally. There was
much interest in the formation of a professional
association for interim managers and these results, when
analysed, will be discussed with IMA members to decide
the merit of forming such an association.
We thank all of you
who have assisted in this survey.
